- You will prepare a song and a scene for your audition.
- Song should be 1:30 max. Musical theatre songs (rather than pop songs) are preferred.
- If you are interested in a specific role in "Fiddler," you're welcome to sing a song or excerpt from the show, but this is not required.
- Songs may be sung with a backtrack or a cappella. If using a backtrack, please have it ready on a phone or tablet.
- A song is encouraged for every actor, even if you are not interested in singing solo (There are plenty of non-singing roles, so teens who are more interested in acting rather than singing are welcome. If you don't want to sing solo, please don't let this dissuade you.)
- For your scene: prepare a scene from the show, taken from this list of scenes. Choose one of the characters to perform. Memorization is optional. Sides (printed scenes used in auditions) will be available on site.
- Note that you might also be asked to read from sides for another character.
