Read Play Love's Library

The Read Play Love Children's Library is core to our activities - it is the "Read" in Read Play Love! 

RPL Founder Marney Makridakis' mother, Arthiss Kliever, operated a children's library out of her Lake Highlands home for 12 years.  When she retired, Marney vowed to do something special with the collection of books, so that they would continue to inspire children, which they have done through the RPL Library.

The Library is now once again serving young children at the RPL'S Arts & Nature Exploratory!

Read Play Love has books for all ages...

• Non-fiction children's books on a wide variety of subjects, from manufacturing to magic tricks, biology to biographies, amphibians to American history
• Board books for babies and toddlers
• Picture books for all ages
• Beginner Books for early readers (Levels 1-4)
• Easy Fiction and Easy Series
• Young Adult Fiction

And special collections such as Poetry, Fairy Tales and Legends, Puzzle Books, and seasonal/holidays.

How it Works:

• RPL Family Members - unlimited check-out privileges 
• Established Non-Member Accounts - max 6 books
• First-Time Visitors - max 3 books

​Our lending period is 4 weeks, with a reminder email sent 2 days before the due date.  With your online account, you can login and search our catalogue by keywords, as well as scan your books at the library to check them out.  

RPL Members are automatically set up with a Library account and have unlimited checkout privileges.  Get information about membership here.

First-time guests may check out up to three books, writing them down manually in the Guest Notebook.  Your account will be set up within 48 hours and details will be emailed to you.

Established accounts for non-members make check out up to six books at a time.
