The Story-Stones Path at the Read Play Love Exploratory is a unique display of colorful "Book Bricks" that pave the way to our future.  

The StoryStones Path pays homage to how RPL first began, when RPL Director Marney Makridakis inherited her mother's collection of thousands of lovingly-curated children's books to form the Read Play Love library. 

Become part of our story! Dedicate a brick to a special person in your life, a lover of the arts, in memoriam, or make a positive impact on the community and donate a brick on behalf of your business or company.

Here are six Freshly-painted books, ready to dedicate...OR pick any title (of a real or imaginary book) and choose text for your dedication plate.

  • Each "book brick" is $100 donation
  • Bundle 6 bricks for $500
  • Get a 12-brick "Book Nook" for $1000.  A "Book Nook" also has the option to be located in a dedicated location, if you like (i.e., around a tree, outlining a garden, etc.)  ​
  • If you're not sure of your book title/dedication yet, just let us know when you donate, and we'll contact you to follow up.
  • There is also the option to designate that your bricks be given to RPL children, who can select book titles or messages meaningful to them.  As not every family will be able to donate to the Project at this time, it's is a great way to support the inclusion of everyone!
