In these Free workshops on May 26 & 27, kids age 6-10 will learn one of the songs from "The Princes and the Princesses" and perform it for parents at the end of the workshop.

"The Princes and the Princesses" by Arthiss Kliever is 2 clever books in one - halfway through, turn the book over and get a difference perspective on these delightful royal children! Our Little Library Musicals program features a musical adaptation of the book, in which "proper" princes and princesses and "playful" princes and princesses think they have nothing in common... but find ways to celebrate their commonality! |

About the Free Workshops:
These Free Workshops are a great opportunity to get a taste "Little Library Musicals" - our program for ages 6-10.
- The workshops on May 26 and 27 are Free -- there is no obligation to enroll in the program. We are just excited for new families to visit the RPL Exploratory and get a sample of one of our programs! We would love for you to join us!
- For those interested in enrolling, our first session of Little Library Musicals for ages 4-8 starts on June 2, meeting on Thursdays at 12:00-1:00pm. These are short musicals, prepared in 4 weekly session, creating a positive opportunity for young actors to become comfortable on stage, and have experience with performing, singing, dancing, plus simple props and costumes.
- This summer we offer a new Little Library Musicals session each month - in June, July, and August. You can enroll in one or all three - each month features a different musical based on a book!
- Our goal is to be the ideal environment for kids to try theatre for the first time, as well as more experienced performers to stretch their wings & grow.
- We emphasize a positive, empowering approach where kids are invited to contribute to the creative process with their own great ideas.
- We always welcome kids to go at their own pace, including "just watching" until they are comfortable jumping in (they might surprise you!)
- Using a fun framework builds confidence --allowing kids to relaxed through a unique experience for creative expression!

Workshops are held at the Read Play Love Exploratory in Lowry Crossing (East McKinney) - two acres of playspace for kids! And new baby chickens! :-)
Feel free to come early or stay after to play! Workshops take place inside in our cottage, with a performance at the end on our outdoor stage! |
