Students 8+ will create mixed media assemblage art from found/recyclable supplies for an art gallery display to run in tandem with our musical, "The Wizard of Songz."
As inspiration, we will exploring the classic book and film, The Wizard of Oz, with a fun lesson in film history for extra inspiration! Keep reading below for more details and photos from our last Makerspace camp!

It's back for an encore...Makerspace Art....exploring themes from The Wizard of Oz!
This one-day camp offers a creative partnership with our production of The Wizard of Songz, the original musical that will be rehearsing concurrently at Read Play Love.
Kids age 8+ will have access to all kinds of raw materials for making recycled and upcycled mixed media assemblage. The environment focuses on exposing kids to new media and ideas, and allowing free expression to come through! While artistic skills are introduced, our focus is always on the reflective process of art-making in a way that empowers each child.
