Homeschool Art Contest Studio
Age: All, members and non-members
Tuesdays 2:00-3:00 @ FBCR (September 11-October 2)
Description: Each month, the Art Contest Studio will be focused on preparing students to enter an Art Contest (local, national, or international). We will choose a different Contest each month, and take the students all the way through the process: discussing the themes, introducing any parameters requirements in the contest, and submitting materials according to the contest rules.
Students can work on a project over multiple weeks, or create a new piece each week and then choose their favorite to submit at the end of the month. In some cases, contests may allow for collaboration, in which case students could work together.
September's Art Contest Studio will be creating art to submit to the "Embracing Our Differences" art contest. The theme, as stated is: "enriching lives through diversity and inclusion."
October's Art Contest will the be Poster Contest for the International Compost Awareness Week. The theme is: "Cool the Climate: Compost!"
Cost: Free for Members. $5 Day pass for Non-Members.
Visitors and drop-ins are welcome. Registration is encouraged to assist in planning, but not required.
