The Read Play Love Exploratory is open for Fall! Located in Lowry Crossing TX (just east of McKinney), the RPL Exploratory is easily accessible from highways...yet its country setting feels another world! Take a look at what we have planned...

Musical Theatre Productions

"All Together Now!" is Music Theatre International's global event celebrating local theatre!
Performance is Nov 13. Rehearsals start Nov 14, with 4 timeslots on Thurs & Friday.
This is for the whole family ... we hope adults will join us and perform!
Participation is Free! (we ask families to fulfill a volunteer role for the Nov 13 event)

An RPL Original script plus puppetry, video projections, and art installations!
Performances are Dec 17, 18, 19 @ 5pm at RPL Exploratory (outdoors)
Rehearsals are Mon, Tues, Wed @3:00-5:00pm, Nov 17-December 17 (no rehearsals Thanksgiving week)
Roles for age 4+ (everyone who auditions gets cast)
Production Fees deeply discounted for RPL Members

Ongoing Exploratory Days (Fridays and Saturdays)

90 minute sessions on Fridays and Saturdays: 11:00-12:30, and 1:00-2:30, Starting Oct 22 & 23
Activities include craft, treasure hunt, library, outdoor free play
Mini musical theatre workshop & performance during the last half hour
All ages welcome (parents attend with kids, no drop off)
Suggested donation: $10/family (free for RPL Members)

Halloween-themed Exploratory Days on Oct 29 & 30! Costumes welcome!
Activities include: Halloween crafts, trick-or-treat garden hunt, Halloween book treasure hunt, escape room (age 12 and up), outdoor play
Mini musical theatre workshop & performance during the last half hour
All ages welcome (parents attend with kids, no drop off)
Suggested donation: $10/family (free for RPL Members)

Holiday-themed Exploratory days on Fridays & Saturdays in December
Activities include: handmade gift stations, treasure hunts, games, hundreds of Christmas books, group community service projects

Family Events

Family events on the first Sat of every month, with interactive mysteries divided by ages
Up Next: November 6, 5:00-8:00. Interactive Mystery + the first screening of New York production of "The Whimsical World of Sherlock Holmes"!

Our Annual Fundraiser held at RPL on Saturday, November 13, 4:00-8:00
"All Together Now!" performace at 4pm (Music Theatre International's global event celebrating local theatre)
Admission to the performance is free!
Following the performance, enjoy concessions, activity coupons, raffle, games, etc; all proceeds support RPL!

Twice-monthly gardening days for families - come when you like!
Fall planting & prepping for Spring planting beds.
Day/time TBD based on schedules of participating families.

Early Childhood

It's back...RPL's popular early childhood program, Wee Play Love!
Weekly session on Fridays @ 9am-10am
For age 0-5 with caregivers: dedicated time to learn, play, create, and explore together!
First visit always free! Sessions are $10/family or free for members.

Online Classes & Groups

Mondays @ 11:00am-12:15 on Zoom, October 11-December 20
Learn and demonstrate musical theatre skills
Study classic musicals being featured in the "All Together Now!" concert
Age 10+
$60/1 child, $30 for each additional child. Free to Members.

Meets on Zoom the 1st Thurs of each month at 10am
Positivity Puppetry TV is a continued project from 2021, but new puppeteers are welcome to create their own shows to be part of our "Positivity Puppetry" Youtube channel!
