The Playwright/Directors completed comprehensive classes in both playwriting and directing, and have been working hard since last summer!
Their playwriting class was based in the study of Aristotlean principles of drama. Their directing class focused on best-practice techniques for actor coaching. However, beyond learning and appying these new skills, each playwright/director had an even bigger challenge: to adapt to the circumstances and rise to the challenge of creating virtual theatre in unique and innovative ways. Now they are sharing their creations with you! Due to covid, our Festival is being held virtually, featuring recorded Zoom performances (and one radio drama!) that you can stream at your convenience! |
The presentations range from 4 minutes to 45 minutes. and feature a wide variety of new works that runs the gamut of creativity -- plays and musicals, full-length and exercepts, drama and comedy, fantasy and realism.
