April 8-10 2022 + livestreamed!
Saltwater Song is a beloved favorite from RPL's series of new musicals for a new generation, and it has now been re-conceived for our 2022 cast, which features 40 kids, age 3-16!
Join us April 8-10 (and livestreamed) to experience an enchanting world of colorful mermaids, mysterious sea monsters, cunning sea witches, entertaining sharks and wild pirates...all of whom experience extraordinary ripple effects when a young mermaid's desire to experience land becomes more powerful than the sea magic that has been created to keep her safe.

Reserve Your Tickets - Donate What You Can
About Our Donation Model: Ticket revenue from performances of our original musicals has historically been a lifeblood for Read Play Love. In the past, we sold tickets for $10-$12 for adults, and kids’ tickets for about half of that. But for this production, we are taking reservations on a donation basis. This way, those who are able to donate more can do so, and if any family would find regular ticket prices cost prohibitive, they can donate what they can.
The donation model more closely reflects what RPL has always been: a heart-centered space that empowers children from all backgrounds to SHINE and do more than they think they can do, and brings families together to create an inclusive culture of love.
Read Play Love provides the space – physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially – but our Members and Supporters keep it alive! And as non-profit organization experiencing unexpected circumstances in the past two years, every single dollar helps!
Read Play Love is a 501(c)3 organization and donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where are the live performances held?
We are grateful to be hosted by Wylie Acting Group (WAG) for this production! The address is 205 Industrial Ct #200b, Wylie, TX 75098.
Where do I enter and park at WAG?
The lobby entrance to WAG is in the back of the building. We suggest using 208 Industry Court as the destination address – that is the building behind WAG, which will put you in the right location, and you’ll see the white sign with red letters for the WAG entrance.
For parking – you can park in the building behind or in adjacent spots on either side.
**Do not block the bay doors in the 208 building – pay attention to the signs that say “Do not Block”
Do I need to bring a paper ticket?
Nope, there's nothing you need to keep track of! Upon receiving your reservation, you will be added to a list with the number of seats your requested. Simply check in at the box office upon your arrival.
Is there assigned seating?
Seating is general admission, first-come, first-served. The theatre will open for seating at 5:30. Doors to the lobby open at 5:00 and you are welcome to arrive early and enjoy concessions (all proceeds go to the RPL Theatre Program! Concessions are also available at intermission!)
What if I need to change the number of seats I reserved?
If the number of seats that you need increases, please make an additional reservation on this page. If it decreases, please contact us with the updated number. As seating is limited, this will help us open up seats to other families.
Are masks required?
Masks are optional in the facility.
How does the livestreaming option work?
You - or your friends, family and RPL supporters - can watch the Sunday April 10 show from anywhere! (and/or watch the recorded replay!) All you need is internet access and a Facebook account. Simply reserve your ticket using the "Livestream/Recording" option above. You will receive access to a private Facebook group to access the livestreamed performance on Sunday, April 10, at 6pm Central Time. The exclusive live video will begin streaming approximately 15 minutes prior to the show's start, and will continue live for the entire show, so you can watch it in real time. You can also expect some surprises in the livestream, like interviews with the actors! After the show, you will have unlimited access to the recorded replay afterwards, so don't worry if you can't watch the live performance.
What is the run-time of the show?
Approximately 2 hours.
Can I really donate any amount?
Yes! Read about our donation policy above. All donations are tax-deductible and help keep Read Play Love's doors open during this challenging time. Your Paypal confirmation serves as your receipt for tax purposes; however, we can also provide a printable receipt on letterhead upon request.
Where can I get information about my child participating in a future show?
