Cinderella and the Clockwork Kingdom is a magical, funny, heartfelt reimagining of the classic fairy tale. A slipper is still lost at midnight—but this time, it might be the key to saving the entire kingdom.

In a kingdom where every moment is controlled by clocks, lists, and perfect timing, strange glitches begin tearing the world apart as everyone frantically searches for a way to stop the coming threat of Eternal Midnight. At the center of it all is Cinderella, an overlooked tinkerer in the Royal Time Workshop whose strange inventions and curious questions may hold the key to saving the kingdom!

Along the way, audiences will meet a kind-hearted King and his over-dramatic Queen, a mysterious Prince with a secret identity, the movers and shakers of the kingdom’s powerful departments, the hilariously efficient staff of the Royal Time Workshop, a group of rebellious “irregulars” who gather in secret, a magical Fairy Timemother, and a team of adorable Minute Mice who always seem to know more than they should.

This world-premiere musical was written by RPL Director Marney Makridakis and her mother, Arthiss Kliever, with every role created specifically for the actor who performs it.

Reserve Your Tickets - Donate What You Can

Ticket revenue from performances of our original musicals has historically been a lifeblood for Read Play Love. In the past, we sold tickets for around $15.  But we now take reservations on a donation basis.  This way,  those who are able to donate more can do so, and if any family would find regular ticket prices cost prohibitive, they can donate what they can.

The donation model more closely reflects what RPL has always been: a heart-centered space that empowers children from all backgrounds to shine and do more than they think they can do, and brings families together to create an inclusive culture of love.

Read Play Love provides the space – physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially – but our Members and Supporters keep it alive!  And as non-profit organization experiencing unexpected circumstances in the past few years, every single dollar helps us keep our doors open so we can continue doing what we do best!

Read Play Love is a 501(c)3 organization and donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

How can I order roses for my favorite actor(s)?
Celebrate your favorite performer, or members of the crew or production parents with a rose(s) delivered with your own personal message.

Whether you're in the audience or sending love from far away, this is a great way to send your love, encouragement, and congratulations!  All profits from flower orders directly support this production and Read Play Love's theatre programming.  Simply go here to order flowers.

Do I need to bring a paper ticket?
Nope, there's nothing you need to keep track of!  Upon receiving your reservation, you will be added to a list with the number of seats your requested.  Simply check in at the box office upon your arrival.

Is there assigned seating?
With the exception of those in our RPL Partners Circle, seating is general admission, first-come, first-served.  The theatre will open for seating at 5:30. There are no reserved seats prior to 5:30, but the doors to the lobby open at 5:00 and you are welcome to arrive early and enjoy concessions (concessions are sold by donation and all proceeds go to the RPL Theatre Program!  Concessions are also available at intermission!)  RPL Partners do have priority seating for the shows of their choice; go here for details!

What if I need to change the number of seats I reserved?
If the number of seats that you need increases, please make an additional reservation on this page.  If it decreases, please contact us with the updated number.  As seating is limited, this will help us open up seats to other families.

How does the livestreaming option work?
You - or your friends, family and RPL supporters - can watch the Saturday and Sunday shows anywhere! (and/or watch the recorded replay!)  All you need is internet access and a Facebook account. Simply reserve your ticket using the "Livestream/Recording" option above. You will receive access to a private website and the exclusive live video will begin streaming approximately 15 minutes prior to the show's start, and will continue live for the entire show, so you can watch it in real time.  After the show, you will have unlimited access to the recorded replay afterwards, so don't worry if you can't watch the live performance.

What is the run-time of the show?
Approximately 90 minutes plus an intermission.

Can I really donate any amount?
Yes! Read about our donation policy above.  All donations are tax-deductible and help keep Read Play Love alive! Your Paypal confirmation serves as your receipt for tax purposes; however, we can also provide a printable receipt on letterhead upon request.
