**A NOTE ABOUT DISTANCE:*** I understand that for some families, the location will be a further drive (and for others, it will be closer than Richardson was!) It is my commitment to create experiences with your children where the magic is worth the miles!
Here is the short clip that WFAA did about our story:
We’ve entertained many options so we pushed things as far as we could, even starting a couple classes this week as normal, but we’re going to temporarily need to reschedule most of our activities until we figure out our next temporary location for the next few weeks and months, until we find a better long term location.
Some of you know may already know the various factors that accelerated things, but for those that might not, a brief overview: a couple of weeks ago, the copper wiring was stolen from the AC units on the roof, destroying them and the roof, and we have not had a/c since then. We were hoping temp units could help but with the hot months coming, the portable units we’ve brought in are simply not enough to keep the space cool and comfortable. Unfortunately, on top of that, just within the past week there have been several robberies in the complex and we are simply no longer comfortable staying there with our kiddos.
Additionally, the roof damage has caused a lot of new leaks which may not get repaired in full any time soon, since they need to put in a whole new roof; in short, we just want everyone to be SAFE and healthy, and we are committed to making that happen. We tried hard to avoid the hassles of moving, but we’re much more excited about eventually finding a new space that will suit our needs much better!
Details to come as soon as we have them, but please know that our intention is to complete the classes begun in May, as well as to move forward with A Midsummer Night’s Rock as our June musical, as well as meet-ups and activities. Thanks for your patience as we move swiftly and we will get location information to you very soon!
While we are grateful for all we’ve been able to enjoy and experience at the current location, we are even more excited about a new space and more opportunities for all our kids as we continue and grow our lil’ creative and loving community!
